10. You can tap on the Resend Code option to get a different code

11. Tap on Continue appears below the text box and it will submit your code and take you to the next page

12. Check the ‘Log me out of other devices’ box and then tap on Continue and logs out your Facebook account on any PC, tablet, or phone on which it is currently logged in, that will log out the hacker also

13. Enter a new password and you will enter your new password in the text box that appears near the top of the page

14. Tap on Continue to replace your old password with your new password and now you can log in to your Facebook account with your new password and the person who has hacked your account can no longer access it

Reset Your Password on Desktop

1. Open the Facebook website by visiting its official website to open the Facebook login page

2. Click on Forgot account link that appears below the ‘Password’ text box in the upper-right side of the page. It will redirect you to the ‘Find your account’ page

3. Enter your email address or phone number by clicking on the text box in the middle of the page and then type in the email address and phone number which you use to login to the account

4. Click on Search that appears below the text box to get your account

5. Select an account reset option and then, clicks on the following options:

·         Send code via email – Sends a 6 code to the email address which you use to log into Facebook

·         Send code via SMS – Sends a 6 digit code to the phone number that is linked with your Facebook profile

·         Use my Google Account – It allows you to log into your Google account to check your identity. This bypasses the code reset process

6. Click on Continue and it will send the code to your email or messages if you chose the option Use my Google Account method, a window will now open

7. Recover your verification code and it depends on your selected account reset option, your next steps will depend:

·         SMS: Open your phone’s messages, look for a text from a 5-6 digit phone number and mention the 6 digit code in the text

·         Email: Open your email inbox, look for an email from Facebook and note the 6 digit code in the subject line

·         Google Account: Enter your email address and password

8. Enter the code by typing the 6 digit code into the “Enter Code” domain, then click on Continue and it will take you to the password reset page

9. Enter a new password by typing the password into the “New Password” text-domain near the top of the page. It will be the password which you use to log into Facebook from now on

10. Click on Continue to save your password changes

11. Check the ‘Log out of other devices’ box and click on Continue and it will log your account out in all phones, computers, and tablets including the one from which your account was hacked and take you to the News Feed on your current PC, Phone, or Tablet
